A. Preparation & Info

Spray bottle & reusable cans, ratios.

* Mixtures marked with the word SPRAY are suitable for application by means of a spray bottle. The quantities are designed accordingly. Make sure that no particles get into the bottle that could possibly clog the spray head. Rinse the bottle with warm water before the first application. This procedure must be repeated if a new care mixture is poured in. Each mixture can also be applied directly to the head with the hands.

* The basic ingredients contained (cocoa butter and beeswax) for the lip care balm are designed to last for the 3 reusable cans.

Shelf life

* The mixtures from the hair and face formulas will keep for about 5 days in the refrigerator.

* The lip balm will keep for a few weeks if stored in a cool place.

You will also need the following things

* As a rule, a bowl, tea or tablespoon and water are required for each recipe.

* When making lip care, you will also need a base, e.g. a wooden board, a kettle or a hotplate, a small pot or heat-resistant bowl and a smaller heat-resistant container that can be placed in the pot or bowl.

* For recipes that still require one or two ingredients, these ingredients are underlined accordingly. At least 2 different ingredients are included in the set. You or a neighbour may have more at home.

B. Note

Take care when handling hot surfaces and sharp objects and substances. The contents and materials are not suitable for consumption. If the ingredients come into contact with the eye, rinse it immediately under cold running water to stop irritation. If allergic reactions or skin irritations occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor.

C. Application (lips)

Apply a thin layer of lip balm to the lips with your finger.

Frequency: as needed

Lip balm

- Protects the lips from drying out. -

1) Put water in a small pot and place it on a cooker. Heat the water in the pot at a low temperature (e.g. level I, depending on the scale of the cooker) but do not bring to the boil.

2) Use a separate heat-resistant container (e.g. cup or bowl). This must fit into the pot.

3) Now add the cocoa butter and beeswax to the chosen container. To make the ingredients melt a little faster, you can chop them up.

- Tip - adding a small teaspoon of coconut oil or oil such as almond oil, olive oil or similar makes the lip balm smoother.

4) The container with the ingredients is now placed in the pot with the heated water. The water bath should not touch the outside of the jar more than halfway. If there is too much water in the pot, pour it off.

5) Once the ingredients have melted in the jar, any additives can be added. - Ingredient tips - Lavender, mint, lemon, cinnamon and honey.  - Dosage recommendation - Maximum one quarter teaspoon per reusable jar - Note - For powdered or herbal ingredients, add only one ingredient per reusable jar so that the balm does not become too dry and hard.

6) Once the ingredients have been mixed in, turn off the heat and pour the mixture from the jar into the reusable jars.

7) The lip balm now needs some rest to cool down and harden.

8) After about 2 hours, the lip balm can already be used. After approx. 24 hours it is completely hardened. Now the reusable tins can be easily closed and taken anywhere or given as a gift.
